At ShapeShifter, to ensure we can keep providing you with the tools, space, and inspiration to grow in your practice, we've put together a payment policy that's simple and clear:

Class/workshop/Open Studio Fees: Payment is due upon registration. Payment plans are available at checkout through ShopPay.

Accepted Forms of Payment: We accept a variety of payment methods:

  • Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover
  • Debit card
  • PayPal

Refunds

  • Any refund is subject to a $25 administrative fee.
  • If you withdraw from a class 14+ days from start date you will receive a full refund.
  • If you withdraw from a class 13–0 days from start date you will receive a 50% refund or a 50% credit towards another class.
  • No refunds will be given after a class has begun.
  • If the school chooses to not offer a class due to low enrollment or other reasons, students are entitled to a full refund, a credit to be used for a future class, or the option to transfer to another class.

Class Cancellations, Withdrawals and Transfers

Classes are cancelled when enrollment minimums are not reached.

  • ShapeShifter Art School encourages students to register early.
  • Classes that do not meet enrollment minimums are cancelled five days before the first class, and students are notified by email. Full tuition will be refunded within twenty-one (21) calendar days.
  • ShapeShifter reserves the right to change instructors, class structure, or to discontinue any class without incurring obligations.

If a student is unable to attend a class period for any reason, ShapeShifter is not responsible for providing any make-up.

  • Not attending class does not constitute an official drop or withdrawal from courses or cancellation of tuition or fees.

Inclement weather policy

We will coordinate our closure decisions in accordance with Memphis Shelby County Schools.
Expect to hear from us through a variety of channels: automated phone calls and text messages, our website, and our social media channels.

Make-up classes

If we cancel a class due to weather, we will reschedule the class.
