About the Instructor

Johana Moscoso

Johana Moscoso (she/her) is a Tennessee-based, Colombian-American visual artist specializing in fiber arts. Moscoso’s notable solo exhibitions include presentations at the SCAD Museum of Art, the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith (supported by the Windgate Foundation), and a 2024 retrospective with the Tennessee Arts Commission. Her work is held in numerous prominent collections, including the Memphis International Airport, Memphis Public Libraries, the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, and the Latin American collection of Solita Cohen.

Throughout her distinguished career, Moscoso has been awarded prestigious residencies, including the Arts/Industry Residency at John Michael Kohler Arts Center (Kohler Co.) and the Windgate Artist-in-Residence program at the University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. She has also received significant grant support from organizations such as the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, the Tennessee Arts Commission, and Tri-Star Arts.
